Some people galloped. Lazy and I made our way back at a walk, so we were the last ones in. One of the guides, a young lady, kept thinking I wanted to go faster, and didn't know how, kept trying on the way out to get us up to a trot or a gallop. One of the other guides taught me how to say "slow is good" in Spanish. I wasn't in any hurry, I do that enough in life. We dropped off the horses and took the short walk up the beach to Victor's(P35-36.) At Victor's, Randi buys the first soda and after that you are free to buy or not, whatever you choose. The food was excellent. from the chips and salsa to the house specialty, garlic shrimp (P39). I had the garlic shrimp, onion rings, chips and salsa and 4 sodas (besides the one Randi bought) and my bill was $16 or $17. I'm not saying how much I tipped. Several people had the ribs and said the were great. Randi's dog , Scruffy and one of the other patron's dog surely enjoyed the bone. A Warning: this is great food, but not fast food. It is cooked in small batches, so it may take a while to get your order, especially if you have a large group riding. It's worth waiting for. Relax, there's time enough to hurry when you get back home. Watch the scenery for a while and indulge in conversation. There are vendors with jewelry, wraps, hats you name it walking  through at various times and some members of the group bought things. A young lady who was a member of Tony's (extended) family braided several of the girls hair(P38 & P 40) which was fascinating to watch. At times her fingers moved so fast they were just a blur. After a while it was time to leave and we all jumped into the limo ( P 41) to reverse the trip back to the cruise terminal. Thanks to Randi (P42) Tony, Victor and all the group for a great day in Mazatlan. And my apologies to the horse! (Photo 43)

35. Walking to Victor's

It's really a short walk from where you leave the horses. It's just a long beach.

Hair braiding by one of the family members. This young lady's fingers were amazing to watch, as they flew down a braid.

This is my plate of garlic shrimp. No, you can't have it. I told you it's mine. Get your own. I won't even show you my onion rings.

40. Victor's

Hair braiding after a while is not as much fun. but she was really happy with the results.

43. Don't you feel sorry for the horse?

Yes that's me, sitting like a sack of oatmeal on that poor beast.
