Sunset Mazatlan

Quite beautiful. These photos don't do it justice.

Sunset 2

While waiting for us to leave the called over and over for "Mr or Mrs. xxx of cabin xxxx and Mr...." to please call the pursers. Five names in all. All passengers were supposed to be on board by 5:30. One of the shuttles pulled up at 5 minutes to 6:00 with 5 passengers. Guess who. Amid calls of "leave them behind" from the people on the lido deck, the gangway was repositioned

Sunset 3

The peak at the left is where the light house I took the earlier pictures from.

Entrance to David's Supper Club

Or you could take the elevator...

Sorry, no photos from David's. A nice romantic dinner for one??

Buffet

One of several different buffet areas in Mermaid's Grill. Having the different stations for different types of food keeps the lines pretty short.

Cabo San Lucas

Looking toward the marina where the tender's dock. The main town is to the right. Crystal Serenity is the other ship.

Cabo, Beaches

Lots of stuff going on, jet skis, banana rides, parasailing and a couple in a Hobie cat stuck because there was no wind.

Crystal Serenity

No it really wasn't that dark, I was playing games with the camera.

Crystal 2

Ditto

Adult Pool, Lido deck

From all the way aft looking forward. Stitch, the DJ, was out here playing classic rock and the ice cream machines were definitely getting a work out. I did my part on that score.

The Closed Slide

According to the Purser's desk "Closed Indefinitely." According to one of the AB seamen, it sent people on too fast a ride for the space at the end (notice it doesn't end in a pool) and there were some injuries. He thought it would have to wait for drydock to be rebuilt.

Roof that won't close

The white structures are part of a roof that should be able to roll out and cover the midship pool in lousy weather, like when we got on board. Unfortuanely it comes off the track, so they just leave it open.

Cabo

Looking towards Los Arcos

Cabo 2

You can see the arch in this one.

Balconies

If you look at the bottom row of balconies (Deck 5,) you can see the one at the very bottom has the door to the next balcony open. The other decks had fixed partitions.

Atrium

Blue table is a martini bar, pursers is at the back and the photo gallery is around the second floor. David's supper club is at the top of this atrium, 8 or so decks up and there are glass elevators up to it.

Jazz and cigars.

Raphael's on deck 3 featured both. Loved the first, could do without the second, so I sat where a vent blew the smoke away. The trio was great, but the night the sax player from the show band sat in was awesome.

Normandie Dining room

On the second floor, from the entrance looking aft.

Normandie Dining room

Looking down and aft. Formal night and the waiters are putting their nightly show.

Normandie Dining room

Singing and dancing, inviting passengers to join in....

Normandie Dining room

Instant dreadlocks for you entertainment...

Normandie Dining room

Funny, no passengers ever joined in with this waiter and danced.

Butterflies Lounge

The band, "Best Sellers" was good, but very few people found there way here. It's underneath the Taj Mahal Theatre. But if you want a slow dance, it's your best bet.

Taj Mahal

The title of the show is "Vroom" but it didn't have any.

Taj Mahal

The show tries to track popular music from Elvis to the present and fails miserably.

Taj Mahal

The Beatles characters are nice but the writing of the talk between songs was horrid. I really think who ever put it together didn't know American audiences at all.

Taj Mahal

The Male singer was out of his range for most of the show. Female was good and the dancing was good. Though they have a band, most of the show is done to pre-recorded music, including here where the band is pretending to play. Note that they don't have microphones and the guitar wasn't even plugged in!

Ivory Piano Bar

Buster Frieze (his real name) was really good and a lot of fun. The lady beside him, Allison, was a passenger so I don't think you'll be fortunate enough to have her there. They did some really nice duets.

Ivory Piano Bar

Buster does a great "Phantom"

Atrium

I didn't care too much for the guy playing here. He used karaoke discs for his backing tracks. As you can see not to many people liked it.
